Your wines are world-renowned. Each wine has a 90+ point rating. You let your cousin translate the label of your gran reserva. Why would you do that?! Your brand deserves better.
You wouldn’t buy defective corks. Why hire just any translator? They can be as bad as cork taint for your brand—or worse. It’s as important to take care of your brand’s words as it is to keep a close watch on your wine’s fermentation.
Translation for the wine industry isn’t easy. You need to find a translator who’s comfortable with the specific terminology used. In addition to being a wine aficionado, I have taken part in courses on translation for the wine industry. The fact that I grew up on an organic farm helps too!
